The Fellows House is one year old. On 14 July we celebrated our first birthday and a belated launch as we opened during a difficult time when Covid cases were still high in many countries. We worked together during challenging times and are now really proud of what we offer to customers coming to Cambridge from many countries.
In a previous news item we showcased our May and June 2022’s media exposure, but we have also been recognised in hospitality and travel awards. Soon after our opening, we won a coveted THA Award for Best Aparthotel in the UK 2022. We have been finalists in other prestigious awards, such as The Serviced Apartment Awards (Best Property 71+ units) and Best Hotel/Inn category in Muddy Stilettos’ Awards
We are currently a finalist of The Conde’ Nast Readers’ Choice Awards; Cambridgeshire SME Awards in three categories: Best New Business, Business Innovation and Business of the Year more than 50 Employees; and Best City Hotel and Best Hotel for Design in the 2022 Luxury Lifestyle Magazine Awards.
However, achieving the TripAdvisor’s Travellers’ Choice 2022 badge was a huge compliment as we prize customer’s feedback. We read reviews every morning and take a note of any feedback, positive or negative.
This week, our cafe’, The Sage of Cambridge, has been granted cafe scientifique status for Cambridge for its cultural event series Orators & Storytellers, which only started in June.
We have enthusiastic and talented staff, including university students, young professionals and executives with many years of experience in hospitality. As with other establishments we have dealt with and are encountering many challenges, but we stand united and hopeful that the industry will overcome this very difficult political and economic phase.
