Sustainable Travel

How to get around Cambridge

By Bicycle

Cambridge is filled with great cycle lanes that are an integral part of the road infrastructure of the city. A newly-paved cycle lane runs the length of Milton Road, right up to our hotel. And it connects to cycle lanes that can take you right into the heart of the city. In addition, the hotel boasts a number of bikes that are complimentary for hire by our in-house guests, for their ultimate convenience whilst exploring our beautiful city.

On Foot

Fancy a picturesque walk along the River Cam right into the heart of the city? The Fellows House is just a 15-minute walk away from the city centre, with a particularly gorgeous walk into the city, across the bridge to Jesus Green, a large grassy park, or via the boardwalk along the River Cam.

How to Get to the Fellows House

Here in Cambridge, we encourage sustainable travel.
For visitors and guests, instead of driving, there are a number of buses which can also take you to The Fellows House, to reduce car congestion in the city centre.
To reduce emissions of driving into Cambridge, our city has a number of well placed Park & Ride centres where individuals can leave their car for a day trip into the city.

Park & Ride (Day trip)

To reach The Fellows House by Park & Ride go to PR5 in Milton, park your vehicle in the complimentary car park, and board the PR5 Milton Park & Ride. This ride costs approximately £3.50 (return). Ride until stop named Chesterton, Westbrook Centre. The hotel is just across the road. This option is good for a daytime trip to the hotel, for instance for co-working at the café, or for a meal at the restaurant.

Once you’ve arrived at the Cambridge North Station, walk to the Cambridge North Railway Station and get B the busway and ride for about 10 minutes, then get off at the Chesterton, Westbrook Centre bus stop. The hotel is just a minute’s walk up the road.
