The roots of cycling in Cambridge can be traced back to the late 19th century when bicycles emerged as a practical and efficient means of transportation. With its flat terrain and compact layout, the city provided an ideal landscape for cycling enthusiasts to navigate with ease. This newfound mobility brought a sense of freedom and accessibility, making it possible for students, locals, and visitors alike to effortlessly explore Cambridge and its surroundings.

One of the primary reasons why cycling is still thriving in Cambridge is the city’s dedication to sustainable and environmentally friendly modes of transportation.
